ASEP recognizes English proficiency at three basic levels: good (B2), very good (C1/C1) and excellent (C2/C2). Degrees from recognized institutions, such as Cambridge, Michigan, State Certificate of Language Proficiency (KPG), IELTS, LanguageCert, and TOEIC are accepted. The higher the level, the more points — the exact points depend on the respective announcement.

The levels of knowledge recognized by ASEP
Knowledge of English is classified according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). The table below shows ASEP's classifications and indicative degrees for each level:

How many points does each degree give?
The points are not fixed: they depend on the specific announcement and the category of the position. However, a clear hierarchy rule applies:
- Excellent knowledge (G2)Is awarded the highest level of points for the language.
- Very good knowledge (G1)Is awarded fewer points than excellent, more than good.
- Good knowledge (B2)The basic point-awarding level in many announcements.
